The Gown Connoisseur for ROM and Pre-wed shoot

We went to The Gown Connoisseur!
I actually signed with #ricoamona for my AD.

Initially I wanted to rent a gown for my overseas shoot in Edinburgh as a top-up to my package. It cost about 406.60 with a refundable deposit of 1k.

Then I saw this studio a few days ago and immediately booked an appt with Michelle the lady boss.

Omg they are very packed even on weekdays. Thank goodness she could squeeze in an one hour slot on Sun at 9am. I just took it immediately.
It's a home-based bridal studio in Punggol. Rental of gowns are at $428. Very very affordable! Purchase of gowns just require a top-up of $150, subject to availability.
With a top-up of 170 dollars, I could own a gown! Of course I want!

It's for a shoot so I didn't really need it to be kuazhang nice. Just something I like and pretty enough for my shoot. Best is can suit my shoot in Edinburgh. Think Victorian style, lace, simple and classy.

If it's for AD, I would want something more bling. I went for a few weddings and I realise that when the bride walks in and the light shines on her, bling bling gown looks a lot better!
Rico-a-Mona is a premium bridal studio and their gowns really serve the AD purpose well!

Anyway so I went onto the gown connoisseur instagram page and saw that they do the cut that I want! Think of slim cut, can be mermaid or trumpet, long train, LACE.

I saw a picture on instagram and immediately decided that I want it. It's also the first dress that I tried on and the one I chose!

I do know what I like and what suits me well! Hahaha
This pic from the instagram. My first dress and what I chose
The dress worn by a model
Another one that I like!
Not available for sale but get what I mean the cut I like
 My turn! I can't believe I tried 5 gowns in a short 1 hour.
Michelle's house is #housegoals. Vintage Victorian style.

When we first arrived, I was awed by her house. She asked me what drinks I want and I took matcha latte without sugar hehe.

She didn't have to ask me what cut I like cause she roughly knew what I like from the pics I sent her.
 Fitting time!!
This is the one I saw on instagram. I swear it fits me like a glove. Even better than rico's ones that I tried.

The Victorian lace omg.
Check out the train details 😍
Another view. M's admiring the nice wallpaper in her house. Check out the mirror too.

Another mermaid style.

This has more bling bling! I would have chosen it if it's for AD.

Bling bling with lace! That's what I want for AD.
M cutely hid behind so that Michelle can get a nice pic of this flattering gown.

I love this! It's very soft comes with a nice train. Very light too!

It was a battle between this and the first one.
The last gown that I have tried (skipped the blush pink gown that I couldn't sit in it)

It's a trumpet cut. The flowy tulle skirt is more suitable for a beach wedding. I could totally imagine a bride wearing this at Shangri Rasa Sentosa Hotel.
Awkward hands that cover the details. I really didn't know how to pose. Shall learn from this.

So nice of Michelle to allow me to take all these photos!

I have tried at Rico before and I knew I wanted a trumpet cut since I couldn't fit into mermaid. But they didn't allow me to take a single photoπŸ˜–
I love this cute pic taken by Michelle.

I was captivated by the gowns (and myself LOL kidding) that I never noticed how M looked at me when I wore the gown.

Hehe I guess he's also quite excited!
I don't know if it's too kuazhang for solemnization but it's just nice for Edinburgh!

Victorian style 😍😍😍the unique lace

I can't believe I could fit into a mermaid. I went to Rico and tried the mermaid and had the most embarrassing time in my life. I can't even get it up my fat butt.

I could fit most of her gowns. There'1 which I love the lacey design too! It's blush pink but suit my skin. White gowns tend to contrast more.

I also can't take those transparent lining cause of my skin tone.
Omg specially went to square these photos cause the gowns are so so pretty!!!

Don't mind showing all these gowns including the chosen one because I am using it for my solemnization and photoshoot. So will show the photos soon! Hahaha

And yeah even though my solemnization is pretty short, I just want to wear my gown cause I love it so much! 買了就要穿
Can easily tell what kind of cut I like! All the dresses I chose are this style. Glad that Michelle makes such dresses!

I am quite big sized. 169cm 57kg. So wearing a ball gown would make me look ridiculously big. I prefer something more slim so that I can stand out with my height.

And thankful to M for pei me on both Sat and Sun mornings to run wedding errands.
Anyone interested to buy over my gown after I finish with my shoot? ☺️

Intend to sell it at $380 after dry cleaning it.

I am a UK8-10.
I am thinking of wearing this on my actual day but I have Rico-a-Mona gowns too.

Maybe I will wear this for my tea ceremony and reception before changing out for the first march in?

That's means I wear for 1 hour only. Also happy hahaha.
